The rite of confirmation is intended to strengthen or deepen our relationship with God.

While Confirmation is no longer a pre-requisite for an individual wishing to receive Holy Communion (consecrated bread and wine), it continues to be a sacrament of our Church that invokes the Holy Spirit to strengthen and empower the recipient in their life in Christ. Confirmation at St. Paul’s usually takes place during the Bishop’s tri-annual visit or annually at the Pentecost service at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa.

Those wishing to be confirmed must be at least twelve years of age, be baptised members of the congregation and have completed a Confirmation Preparation programme.
