St. Paul’s Centre for Creative Living is a spiritual but not religious project aiming to benefit the whole community. It offers ways we can begin to create spaciousness in our everyday lives to receive and express freely what is true, beautiful and good in the way we live, work and relate to one another.
Using creative practice in this way can open us to what the Source of all life and love wants to do in and through us in unique ways, indeed in more ways than we can ask or imagine; to bring about a world where there is peace, justice and integrity of creation.
To do this, the Centre draws upon the talents of people engaged in creative activities to mentor practice circles in a contemplative way and to offer workshops for those interested in developing their skills further.
Currently the Centre offers practice circles in photography, writing and mixed media and is also developing a program for young families called “Families Unplugged”, a weekday evening offering a meal and an opportunity for the family to do something creative together (e.g. collage, visual arts, story telling, music, drama).
All are welcome to attend any of the programs. Introduction to any of the circles is $20. The annual membership fee is $100 or $30 per quarter and includes the first introductory fee. Subsidies are available for anyone for whom this is a barrier.
